NOW

NOW is the name of a participatory light installation i created for the public space, as well as the name of an urban micro-interventions project that proposed treating the city as a living organism and art intervention as virus. I imagined NOW as a time-space capsule that carries self-generating content, infecting the city and thus activating its immune system. The installation offered a context and a playground for other artists, I collaborated with visual artists and writers, each of them coming with their own world, in very different ways, resonating with very diverse audiences and working side by side with passers-by. The installation was my visual illustration of the theme of Bucharest candidacy for European Capital of Culture: in-visible city, inspired by Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities.

NOW project (ACUM in Romanian) was organised by ARCUB, part of Bucharest 2021 – Open Lab Programme, Aug-Sept 2016.
